Our Story

TurkCoach was founded in 2012 by Dr. Mehmet Yilmaz, a Harvard Business School graduate with extensive experience in corporate leadership across Europe and the Middle East. After returning to his native Turkey, Dr. Yilmaz recognized a significant gap in the market: while Turkey was experiencing rapid economic growth, many businesses lacked the strategic guidance needed to capitalize on emerging opportunities and navigate cross-cultural challenges.

Starting with just three coaches and a small office in Istanbul's Levent district, TurkCoach initially focused on helping Turkish businesses adapt international best practices to the local market. Our early success with clients like TechIstanbul and AnkaTech Manufacturing quickly established our reputation for delivering measurable results through culturally intelligent coaching.

By 2015, we had expanded our services to include specialized support for international companies entering the Turkish market. This dual expertise – helping Turkish businesses grow globally while guiding international firms in establishing successful local operations – became our defining strength in the industry.

Today, TurkCoach has grown to a team of 25 certified coaches operating across Turkey's major business hubs, with our headquarters remaining in Istanbul. We've successfully coached over 500 organizations ranging from innovative startups to Fortune 500 companies, helping them achieve sustainable growth in Turkey's dynamic business landscape.

Former Chief Strategy Officer at one of Turkey's leading banks, Ayşe brings 15 years of corporate leadership experience to her role overseeing our coaching programs.
